Field Report = The airport is a BEF 300 (5 pound) taxi ride from the city centre. The landing + parking + passenger fee was BEF 1050 (about 16 pounds) for two days and one passenger (grumble -- my map sorter was not accepted as crew ;-)

We stayed at the Ibis (about 50 quid for a double, close to the town centre, simple). For eating -- well what do I say, it's full of restaurants, cafes and bars -- try the Roedd Hoed (Red Hat, apologies for the spelling) near the entrance to the cathedral.

We happened to coincide with the Belgian Beer Tasters festival in Antwerp -- I wish we could have stayed for day 2 since we only managed to try 12 on day 1!

One note: the approach on Rwy 11 is unpleasant in a single. It's one of those 2 minutes of the year when I'd like to have a twin. ;-) Seriously, it's straight over the city centre.
